To a world champion and a consistent performer

This falls into the ICBTIDBATE[1] category.

Viswanathan Anand won the World championship in chess and received a welcome that he admitted overwhelmed him.

The popularity of chess in India, especially among the younger generation is because of Anand. I think because he’s succeeded and has been so consistent over the years, we’ve had kids taking up chess, and it shows with players like Koneru Hampi.

It’s fantastic that Anand won the World Championship and it’ll do wonders for chess in India. Congratulations to a great chess player.
