One Laptop per Child

If you haven’t already done so yet, check out the website for the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) project. (If you are not familiar with OLPC, you can read the Wikipedia entry.)

The section that I was most impressed with was Getting Started . I enjoyed reading about the eBook mode, and the features of the laptop, keyboard, external ports, etc. The laptop’s design is quite clever and the designers have managed to pack in a lot of stuff into something that’s pretty small. After you read about and see pictures of the laptop, you’ll probably want to get your hands on one.

Brilliant stuff and worth a look.
